Kathryn Brown
My name is Kathryn Brown and I am a current Geoscience Major masters student at Midwestern State University. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Garland, Texas. I graduated with my BS in Geoscience at Midwestern State University in 2022.
My research interests include prehistoric environments, karst systems, and volcanoes. I am currently working with Professor Kashif Mahmud on a project modeling a section of the Natural Bridge Caverns in Comal County, TX using remote sensing LiDAR and drip measurements. The research will be used in order to identify the behavior of underground water flow and infiltration systems in heterogeneous aquifers.
My hobbies include hiking (in cooler weather), traveling, and reading. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Email if you want to get in contact with me.
