Zantia King

I am Zantia King, an international student from the beautiful Bahamas. I am currently in my sophomore year at Midwestern State University, pursuing a major in Environmental Science. As part of the EURECA program, I am actively engaged in research alongside my mentors, Professor Kashif Mahmud, and a Geoscience graduate student, Elizabeth Elkins.

Our research focuses on harnessing the power of remote sensing LiDAR technology to enhance understanding of above-ground biomass for various tree species. This endeavor involves the optimization of parameters and rigorous model validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our findings.
