Rahul Kumar Ghose

I am Rahul Kumar Ghose, a graduate student at Kimbell School of Geosciences, Midwestern State University Texas. I am from a country known as Evergreen and Riverine, named Bangladesh. It's a beautiful country with so many natural resources and tourist places. Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar, the world's longest sea beach, is a prominent natural attraction. Being a citizen of it, Nature always stays close to my heart and inspires me to study and learn them properly.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Petroleum and Mining Engineering from Jashore University of Science & Technology where I learned more about the importance of natural resources and balance of nature. This thrust of learning more led me to choose further research in the Geosciences field. I am currently working under Professor Dr. Kashif Mahmud as a graduate student. My research interests are Groundwater Hydrology, Groundwater Management and the Effects of Climate change on water resources. I am actively engaged in remote sensing and geological modeling, particularly using LIDAR technology.

I have more than 5 years of work experience in different multinational companies in my country. I also have knowledge and work experience in the Health and Safety sector and have achieved multiple certifications and training in this sector.

In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I am an avid sports enthusiast. I played all levels of professional cricket back in my country and won many prizes and awards. I continue to seek opportunities to play anytime, anywhere. Watching Football, playing badminton, and watching movies are my favorite leisure activities.
